1954
Foundation of the company Krick-Modelltechnik in Leipzig by Klaus Krick. This was a shop with mail-order business, which had construction plans and all material for aircraft models in its program. The company Krick-Modelltechnik quickly became the leading supplier in the former East Zone or GDR.
1958
New foundation of the company Klaus Krick Modelltechnik in West Germany in Knittlingen near Stuttgart, still today the headquarters of the company. Initially, accessories for the model making industry were manufactured until the first model diesel engine "Tomboy 0.5 ccm" was developed in cooperation with Benno Schlosser.
1961
The first model aircrafts followed. The main designer for this was Karl-Heinz Denzin. Model legends like "Knilch der Halb-(ccm)-Starke" and Tulura 5 and Klemm 25 were coined by him.
1971
Mr. Dieter Mack joined the rapidly expanding company and thus entered ship model building. Trend-setting constructions like the series of the "Avanti" racing boats, as well as high-quality ship model constructions of crab cutters, paddle steamers and model yachts were developed under this cooperation.
1973
Inclusion of the first distributions in the Krick-Modelltechnik catalogue. At this time, Klaus Krick established long-standing business relationships with Italian manufacturers of historic ship models such as Corel and Mantua-Model, which still exist today.
1974
Move into the new large company building in the Industriestraße in Knittlingen.
1977
Only 3 years after construction an extension to the company building became necessary, which already doubled the production and storage area.
1989
Hans Gollwitzer, a ship model designer, joined the company and entered the new model segment of ship steam engines, a model segment that had only just been created by models such as "Patricia" and "Victoria".
1990
Matthias Krick joins the company and adds many new products to the range. Since then, the number of products on offer has more than quadrupled.
1994
Matthias Krick takes over the management of the company. Klaus Krick enters well-deserved retirement. Continuous further development of the company's own product range and adaptation to the latest technologies such as laser beam and CNC technology give Krick model kits new quality features.
1999
Takeover of the representation of Constructo model construction kits and thus increased entry into products in the lower price segment.
2000/2001
Development and production of historical model kits of the extra class in cooperation with the company JoTiKa in England and their well-known designer Chris Watton. A new dimension in quality sets new standards here.
2007
Beginning of cooperation with the ship model designer Manfred Kaiser-Pletscher until today. From his pen models like the Lisa M., the police boat WSP47 and the new construction of the sailing yacht Antares were created. New in the assortment are the floor models of the company Kiade. Kiade models are among the best available in this field.
2011
Takeover of the exclusive distribution for the German-speaking area of the Danish traditional brand Billing Boats.
2013
Significant expansion of the production and expansion of the assortment with own product lines.
2015
Takeover of the ship model constructions of the company Robbe Modellsport and gradual restart of the production of this series of RC ship models and accessories.
2016
In 2016 the first 4 Robbe ship model kits were reissued under the brand name ROMARIN. Popular models like the tug Neptun or the Scale Yacht Najade were eagerly awaited by many model builders.
Extension of our accessory assortment with many model ship fittings from the former Robbe assortment. In the course of the year almost 200 accessories are available again.
In addition, we broaden our offer of cardboard model kits with the assumption of distribution of SHIPYARD brand products. In addition to some historical ship model kits we can offer a wide range of lighthouses from all over the world in 1:72 scale.
2017
Expansion of the Romarin brand with the new edition of the Robbe classics Berkasse Dolly, Feuerläschboot Düsseldorf, Bojenleger Paula and the Sea-Jet Evolution, a replica of a racing jet ski.
